So last night was super fun! Instead of a make ’em dance gig, I played a background music set at Petite Galleria‘s “Secret Garden” party in San Jose’s Japantown. The shop sells locally made art, and they debuted their back garden event space last night. I was asked to play primarily music from the ’50s and ’60s, which is an era I love. Since it wasn’t a dance, I was free to play just about anything I felt like, so I focused on creating a fun mood. Dancing did break out here and there, especially towards the end as the wine took effect.
Here’s what I played.
