Apparently, posting these playlists has paid off! This is the opening paragraph to an email I received from Juliette, the bride, in March of this year:
We are looking for a wedding DJ and came across your name. We really like what you offer (I stalked all of your playlists) and feel like it would be a good fit for us. We’ve been going back and forth on the idea of a wedding DJ, as many can be rather cringe-inducing, but I feel good about you.
Needless to say, Juliette hired me, and last night I played her wedding.
If you read yesterday’s post, you know I had a wedding the night before as well. Back-to-back weddings on Saturday and Sunday can be trying, but this was a really nice weekend. After Saturday’s wedding I spent the night in Healdsburg, and then spent the following morning and afternoon in nearby Santa Rosa before making my way to The Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley for Sunday’s wedding. It made for a pleasant and relaxing respite between weddings.
The guests were a diverse and fun bunch, and wanted to hear a little bit of everything, and so I gave them just that.
