Hewlett Packard 50th Anniversary 9-27-16

Yesterday’s event was an interesting change of pace. Hewlett Packard celebrated the 50th anniversary of their Palo Alto lab, and I came into provide a background soundtrack for the cocktail mixer before their CEO’s speech. Since there wasn’t any dancing, I had free reign to play pretty much anything that I felt would create the right atmosphere for the afternoon. After my set ended, a 4-piece jazz combo was lined up, so I played 90 minutes of music that I thought would lead nicely into their set.
