Last night was my first visit to The Gardens at Heather Farm in several years. It was as lovely as I remembered it, and, even better, as easy a load in (and out) as I recalled it to be. I was set up and ready to go by 5:09 for a reception that didn’t start until 6:30. That gave me time to finish the book I brought, Raymond Chandler’s The Lady in the Lake. I’m re-reading all of Chandler’s books, and if you’re looking for a book recommendation, there you go. Chandler was the master of the hard-boiled detective story.
